چکیده
Scattering processes are a fundamental way of experimentally probing distributions and properties systems in several areas physics. Considering two-body scattering at low energies, when the de Broglie wavelength is larger than range potential, partial waves with high angular momentum typically unimportant. The dominant contribution comes from $l=0$ waves, commonly known as $s$-wave scattering. This situation very relevant atomic physics, e.g. cold gases, nuclear structure matter. manuscript intended pedagogical introduction to topic while covering numerical approach compute desired quantities. Two-Body Densities and Effective Potentials
For an A-particle quantum system in a state 9, the movement of any pair of particles is studied. Using the corresponding two-body densities, the effective potential that determines the relative and center of mass movements of the pair of particles is built. Some aspects of the proposed general procedure are applied to different, functions used to describe the ground state of the helium atom. c ...
متن کاملEffective Range Corrections in Few - Body Systems with large Scattering Length
The effective field theory with contact interactions alone is a powerful tool to compute low-energy observables for three-body systems with large scattering length. Recent calculations including effective range corrections are discussed and results are presented.
متن کاملMicroscopic optical potentials for nucleon - nucleus scattering
Microscopic optical potentials for nucleon-nucleus (NA) scattering obtained from the folding of the effective g matrices, solutions of the Bruckner-BetheGoldstone equation, with the densities of the target, are applied to the case of neutron-nucleus scattering. Given that the optical potentials are specified in all two-body angular momentum, spin and isospin channels available to the NA scatter...
متن کاملMicroscopic Optical Potentials for Elastic Nucleon-Nucleus Scattering
The theoretical approach to the elastic scattering of a nucleon from a nucleus, pioneered by Watson [1], made familiar by Kerman, McManus, and Thaler (KMT) [2] and further developed as the spectator expansion [3, 4, 5, 6] is now being applied with striking success. In a similar vein, a slightly di erent approach to the multiple scattering expansion within the KMT framework is being pursued by t...
